AI Is Getting Closer to Your Data: Why In-Country AI Matters

AI is getting smarter.

But another change is happening at the infrastructure level:

AI is getting closer to your data.

Anthropic's Claude is now available for in-country inference in India through Amazon Bedrock, allowing supported inference workloads to be processed within AWS's India regions.

This is an important development because the future of AI isn't only about model intelligence.

It's also about where data is processed, how it is protected and who has control over it.

WHY DATA LOCATION MATTERS

When organizations use AI with sensitive information, the location where that data is processed can matter significantly.

Financial information.

Business documents.

Customer information.

Internal company knowledge.

Government data.

For these workloads, companies may have requirements around data residency and regulatory compliance.

In-country inference gives organizations another option for keeping AI processing within a specific geography.

AI IS BECOMING INFRASTRUCTURE

The way we think about AI is changing.

A few years ago, AI was mostly an application.

Open a chatbot.

Write a prompt.

Receive an answer.

Today, AI is increasingly becoming infrastructure.

It can sit inside:

Software products.

Business workflows.

Cloud platforms.

Developer tools.

Customer support.

Data systems.

Enterprise applications.

Once AI becomes infrastructure, questions about security, privacy and control become much more important.

THE NEW AI STACK

The AI stack is becoming much bigger than the model itself.

It increasingly includes:

AI models.

Private data.

Cloud infrastructure.

Security.

Identity.

Governance.

Applications.

Workflows.

The model is only one part of the system.

WHERE BOAD FITS

This is also how we think about Boad.

Boad isn't being built as just another AI application.

We're building an ecosystem.

AI.

Cloud.

Tools.

Communication.

Identity.

Personal technology.

The goal is to make these pieces work together instead of forcing people to manage an ever-growing collection of disconnected services.

And as AI becomes more deeply integrated into our digital lives, control becomes increasingly important.

WHERE IS MY DATA?

WHO CAN ACCESS IT?

HOW IS IT PROTECTED?

WHAT SERVICES AM I CONNECTED TO?

WHO CONTROLS MY DIGITAL IDENTITY?

These questions will become more important as AI becomes more powerful.

THE FUTURE OF AI IS ALSO THE FUTURE OF TRUST

The AI industry is competing to build smarter models.

That's important.

But another competition is happening underneath it:

Who can build AI infrastructure that people and organizations actually trust?

The future won't be defined only by intelligence.

It will also be defined by privacy, security, control and usability.

That's the future we're interested in building at Boad.

AI should make technology more powerful.

But it should also make your digital world simpler and more connected.

And ultimately, more yours.

Boad.

One unified digital workspace.
